AI listing description generators for Etsy, compared.
Lots of tools promise to write your Etsy listings. They don't all do the same job: some write full drafts, some only suggest titles, and some just critique what you wrote. Here's what each one actually produces, what's free, and how to use the output without hurting your listing.

Start with Etsy's own title tool (free)
Etsy now has an optional AI tool that suggests listing titles. Per Etsy's Seller Handbook, it uses your current title, first photo and description, works on listings written in English, and lets you update one or many listings at once. You can accept, edit or dismiss each suggestion. If suggestions are available for your listings, you'll find it in your Search Visibility dashboard on Etsy.com or in the Etsy Seller app (Etsy Seller Handbook).
Two tips straight from Etsy: download a CSV of your listings before you change anything, so you keep the keywords from your old titles, and give changes some time before you judge them. It only does titles, so you still need something for descriptions and tags.

eRank's AI Listing Helper takes a short description of your item and gives you three title options, three description options and tag suggestions, each tag with eRank's keyword stats so you can check it. eRank says the helper uses the same OpenAI models as ChatGPT and "is not a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expert", which is why it shows the keyword data next to the tags. The free plan includes one use a day; higher plans allow more (eRank Help).

Alura Most free rewrites
All-in-one Etsy research, AI listing optimization and shop tools.
Alura's free plan includes about 20 AI listing optimizations and 1,000 starter AI credits. Basic raises that to about 40 a month. It also bundles keyword research, so you can check the words it suggests in the same tool.

Marmalead Critique, not a writer
Etsy keyword research with simple 'cell phone bar' scores and forecasting.
Marmalead doesn't write the whole listing. Its AI Description Critique reviews the description you wrote and suggests improvements, and AI Generated FAQs suggests questions to answer in your listing. Good if you like writing your own copy and want a second opinion. There's no free plan, but its free-tools page offers a 14-day trial.

Vela Best for bulk
Bulk edit Etsy listings, with AI listing optimization and photo tools.
Vela is a bulk editor. Per its help center, you select listings, pick Title or Description, add shared instructions and run the AI optimization. For titles you can choose "Concise" or "Classic". You review each result (keep, retry or revert) before syncing to Etsy. Worth it if you have hundreds of listings to clean up; overkill for ten.

What about EverBee?
EverBee is great for product research, but its AI Actions aren't a listing writer. EverBee's help center describes them as tools that analyze images, create design variations and generate ideas while you browse, with prompts like "Inspired Variations" and "Seasonal/Occasion Twist". Before you paste: a 6-point check
- Facts. Check every material, size, color and care detail. AI tools make things up confidently.
- The title leads with the item. Etsy's guidance: clearly state the item, put the most important traits up front, consider fewer than 15 words, and move subjective words like "perfect" to the description (Etsy).
- Limits. Titles can be up to 140 characters; you can use up to 13 tags of up to 20 characters each (Etsy Help, tags).
- Keywords checked. Run the suggested tags through a keyword tool. See the best Etsy SEO tools.
- Your voice. Cut the generic AI phrases. Buyers notice.
- AI disclosure, if the item was made with AI. Etsy requires it in the listing description (Etsy). AI-written listing text is a different question; see our FAQ.
